My husband and I installed our LVP flooring ourselves and were looking for something for our townhome entry way. These were easy to use an a perfect match to the rest of the floors - so much easier than piecing together and staining a piece of trim.

We of course picked a flooring color that didn’t have any great options for floor treads through the big box stores. We searched for the best solution online while also keeping in mind we are installing these ourselves and need it to be easy. We found this site and the reviews were great so we gave it a shot! The pieces match exactly to our flooring and they are easy to install. Unfortunately in our older house our stairs aren’t perfectly square so there was some trial and error with the best way to measure and cut, but we figured it out. The tread covers about 6” of the step and then we cut another piece of regular flooring to attach on the back. We used heavy duty construction glue to hold everything down. Our risers and stringers are white so what I did was caulk the spaces between where the tread hits the risers and stringers to create a seamless look and seal everything in.
The project we did had a couple landings and one lone step between two parts of a room. Without the Luxury Vinyl Threads we would have struggled to make the Lifeproof vinyl plank flooring look polished and well finished at these locations.
The Luxury Vinyl Threads integrated perfectly with the plank flooring and utilize the same pattern - it worked perfectly!
I own a 123 year old house. The previous owner had the staircase to the second story carpeted. I removed the carpet with the intention of refinishing the stairs. The treads and risers were in terrible condition; gouged, cracked and covered with the residue of glue used to adhere rubber tread protectors. The vinyl flooring stair nosing made what would have been a burdensome task simple and quick. I covered the risers with white bead board. The contrast with the dusk cherry treads is striking but subtle.
